If finally took the plunge and purchased a Remarkable 2! It’s a device I’ve had my eye on since the first iteration was released, I simply wasn’t convinced the price of entry was worth it for a single-use device. I am now CONVINCED!
Pictured above are the
- Remarkable 2
- Basic Remarkable Marker (skip it and get one of the below options)
- Ayotu Case for Remarkable 2 Paper Tablet
- LAMY AL-Star EMR Stylus, Digital Pen (If were only buying one Stylus it would be this)
- STAEDTLER 180 22 Noris digital classic, EMR Stylus in Pencil Shape
I have a Macbook Air, a Lenovo laptop, iMac with two monitors, iPhone 13 Max Pro, iPad Air, and a Kindle Oasis. For years and years, I’d tell anyone who asked my best tech purchase was the original Kindle, and that still holds true. BUT there is now a solid number two in the lineup and that’s the Remarkable 2!
The distraction-free writing is unparalleled and I no longer need to carry a case of fountain pens and multiple paper journals. I no longer need to worry about which journal I should be using for a given task.
It’s paper feel is superior to the iPad with a paperlike screen protector on it.
If you know a little Linux and can SSH you can do quite a bit of tweaking. Overall it’s a WIN in my opinion and though it’s not cheap if you calculate the cost of
- Moleskine Classic Notebook $15.15
- Lamy Safari Fountain Pen $19.90
- Classic Cut – Refillable Leather Journal $129.00
You are getting close to the price of entry and if you have multiple journals and pens you’re for sure there!
